aged 25 – 64 once every 3 – 5 years.
Diabetic and Impaired Glucose Tolerance Clinic
If you suffer with Diabetes you should have a check every 6 months (unless stated otherwise). Impaired Glucose Tolerance is reviewed annually.
Hypertension Clinic
If you are hypertensive you should ideally have your blood pressure
checked every 6 months.
Immunisation and Vaccination Clinics
We recommend a full immunisation programme and regular checks on
your child’s well being and development.
Minor Surgery
Our Doctors are able to carry out a number of small procedures in our
Treatment Room. Patients should attend normal surgery for a doctor
to assess the suitability for this type of surgery.
Maternity Services
The Doctors share antenatal and postnatal care with the Midwives.
Influenza and pneumoccocal vaccination
Clinics
Every September we commence an influenza and pneumococcal vaccination
programme for elderly, asthmatic and chronically ill patients.
Non NHS Work
We have many requests from patients for reports, letters and
certificates e.g. private insurance claim forms, reports for solicitors,
housing etc. This is a very time consuming exercise, much of which is
completed in the doctor’s own time. This work does not come under
terms of service for General Medical Services and is therefore
prioritised accordingly. Charges vary according to the service provided
and these charges are available on request. The Practice is now VAT
registered and you will find that some of these
Services have VAT added.
Sickness Certificates
Doctors are not obliged to issue sick notes for a period of absence
from work of less than seven days including weekends. After three
days you should obtain a self certification form from your employer.
