About the Practice

The reception desk is open from 8.30am to 6.30 pm each weekday to book surgery appointments.

Opening Hours

Monday and Friday 8.30 am – 6.30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6.55 am – 6.30 pm Saturday 7.30 am – 11.00 am Surgery Times Monday: 08.30 am - 11 am and 4.00 pm - 6.00 pm Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday: 7.00 am – 11.00 am and 4.00 pm - 6.00 pm Friday: 8.30 am – 11 am and 4.30 pm (Emergency Surgery) Saturday Morning* 8.00am – 10.30 am *Our Dispensary will not be open on a Saturday. If you need to speak to a doctor calls will be taken from 11.45am - 12 noon Monday - Friday.

Unable to attend GP appointments? Text to cancel - Tel: 07907558935. Leave your name, date of appointment and the word `CANCEL'. This phone will not accept incoming calls and is for incoming texts only and no reply will be sent. Try to cancel your appointment at least one hour before the actual time, as this will help us to offer your appointment to other patients. Remember to ask our staff for an appointment card in order to avoid missing appointments.

Nurse triage

Daily 8.30 am– 11.00 am and 2.30 pm– 6.00 pm

Doctors emergency appointments are made by our Triage Nurse, who is also able to give telephone advice on minor illness complaints.

Booked appointments 10.30 a.m. – 11.45 p.m.

Home Visits

If you are housebound or too ill to attend the Surgery you can request a home visit. Please telephone the Receptionist before 10.30 am.

Emergency Out of Hours Service

When the surgery is closed for urgent medical advice and attention outside normal surgery hours an out of hours service is provided at Stamford Hospital until 11 pm and then at Grantham Hospital until 8 am. The surgery emergency line is available from 8.00 am Monday – Friday.

Dispensary

The surgery offers a dispensing service to patients who live in the surrounding villages in the Practice area.

Opening hours of 8.45am - 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions can be requested from Dispensary either by telephoning 01780 761307 or by handing in the repeat prescription request form. Two days notice is required for your prescription to be ready. A delivery service is available for housebound patients.

The Stamford Chemists have a collection service, which enables you to fetch your made up prescription from the chemist or request a delivery if you are housebound.

Repeat prescription requests can be made from the Website. (Initial log on details required from Reception).

Test Results

Telephone 01780 764121 in the afternoons. Please allow time for results to be sent back from Pathology Labs. or as advised by your Doctor. You may be asked for an identification number to protect confidentiality. This will be given to you by your GP when the test is requested.

Disabled Access

There are reserved car parking spaces for the disabled. We also have disabled toilet facilities and the surgery entrance has suitable access for wheelchairs.

Loop System

We have the loop system installed for those with hearing impairment.
